Founded in 1893, the Oklahoma Historical Society has been collecting, preserving and sharing history for more than 125 years. The OHS maintains museums, historic homes, military sites and affiliates across the state. Through its research archives, exhibits, educational programs and publications the OHS chronicles the rich history of our state.
The headquarters of the OHS is the Oklahoma History Center, located in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma History Center is a state-of-the-art facility, offering exhibits, educational programming, event space, and a Research Center. The Oklahoma History Center is a Smithsonian Affiliate, and the Research Center is an affiliate of the National Archives.
