Sakura
When a Japanese food craving strikes, head to Sakura in Altus to enjoy the full sushi bar and Hibachi grill menu. Start the meal off with an order of gyoza dumplings, fried oysters, edamame soybeans or yellowtail topped with jalapeno and chili sauce. After filling up on veggies like seaweed or octopus salad, select your sushi entree. Split a love boat for four, containing 15 pieces of sushi, 18 pieces of sashimi, a bagel roll, a Hawaiian roll and a yummy roll.
At Sakura, you can also bite into a teriyaki, katsu or tempura entree, served with salad, miso soup and fried rice. This Japanese cuisine hotspot also serves stir-fried noodle entrees, as well as bento boxes, filled with a California roll, gyoza dumplings, shrimp tempura, white rice, salad and a meat entree. You can also watch chefs freshly prepare your food at the Hibachi grill, where your food will catch the rising flames right before your eyes. Chow down, but be sure to save room for red bean, green tea or vanilla fried ice cream, or take a slice of tempura cheesecake to go.
