Fuji
Tulsa's nowhere near the ocean, but local seafood hot spot Fuji still manages to serve up the freshest catch. This sushi restaurant has fish flown in twice weekly to make handcrafted rolls that rival those found on the coast. Open for more than 25 years, Fuji has built a reputation for serving some of the best sushi in the state.
The Southside Roll is loved among local seafood fans. The roll includes snow crab, fried shrimp, cucumber, avocado, masago and asparagus and is topped with tuna, fresh salmon, eel, scallions, sesame seeds and sauce. The sushi menu is expansive with options divided into categories like sweet, spicy and sashimi. Fuji also makes homemade wasabi to add extra zing to your roll.
The menu at Fuji stretches far beyond sushi. Appetizers include steamed edamame, crab cakes, tempura-fried vegetables and lobster wontons. Dinner entrees vary from traditional Japanese fare like stir-fry noodles to classics like flame grilled pork. Bento boxes and rice bowls are available, as well.
