The Mustang Historical Museum displays historical artifacts from the surrounding community that date back to the Oklahoma Land Run. The museum is mostly devoted to early Mustang and the town’s beginnings, as well as the community’s continued involvement in agriculture, farming and ranching.

The museum, housed in an old brick building, features many old pictures and family heirlooms from early Mustang residents. Visitors will be able to view the original Mustang Jail from the 1960s complete with original bars, a striped uniform and cell lock. The Mustang Historical Museum also houses Czech native dresses, pioneer style bonnets and a scale model of a one-room school house. Other items on display include a phonograph, sewing machine, grain grinder, scrub board, wash tub, ceramic bells and a baseball uniform worn by Clyde Elliott from 1946. Don’t miss the Friendship Quilt from 1935 and a “New Perfection” kerosene cook stove.
