Revisit the golden age of Route 66 at the Chrysler-Plymouth Tower & Neon Sign in Bristow. This free-standing, 10-story tower once marked the site of a 24-hour car dealership that opened in 1949 and closed in 1958. Rising 102 feet above downtown Bristow, the Chrysler-Plymouth Tower & Neon Sign is the tallest free-standing neon advertising sign on Route 66.

Originally designed and built by Bristow businessman Hubert Grover “Red” Beard to advertise his Beard Motor Company, the towering Chrysler-Plymouth sign became a distinctive landmark for travelers passing through town. Today, the tower stands proudly at 9th and Main Street in Bristow, just off historic Route 66, where visitors can admire this one-of-a-kind piece of roadside Americana and capture memorable photos. The tower was relocated there and renovated thanks to a Route 66 Revitalization Grant via the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
