The Chisholm
The Chisholm is located at the crossroads of Oklahoma's wheat belt and along the historic Chisholm Trail in Kingfisher. The mission of the museum is to collect, preserve and share Oklahoma's farming and ranching history from past to present. The museum complex includes the home of territorial governor A.J. Seay known as Horizon Hill, a heritage village featuring two log cabins, an 1890s territorial bank, a one-room school and the Harmony Church.
The Chisholm strives to engage, educate and enrich the community with unique stories of Oklahoma’s heritage. Visitors can connect with historic traditions of farming and ranching through engaging exhibits and immersive programs. Learn about how these industries have evolved over time with efforts to create more sustainable practices and explore the lives of individuals and families that have played a role in Oklahoma’s agriculture development.
