Celebrate the Christmas season in Checotah with an evening of holiday fun during the Checotah Christmas Parade. Find a spot along the parade route in downtown for the Lighted Christmas Parade Competition, where floats, vehicles, businesses, organizations and community groups compete to light up the streets with their best Christmas displays. The parade is free to enter and free to watch. After the parade, gather near Checotah’s Christmas tree for the annual Christmas giveaway. Prizes are donated by Checotah Chamber of Commerce members and community supporters. Don't forget to see the Christmas lights throughout Checotah, visit local shops and restaurants, and enjoy a small-town Christmas celebration built around community.
