Perry Cherokee Strip Celebration
Perry Cherokee Strip Celebration
Enjoy a full day of activities at the annual Cherokee Strip Celebration in Perry. This festival, held each September since 1893, celebrates the founding of the community of Perry and includes a wide array of live entertainment, food, exhibitors and more. Activities start early with a 5K, followed by the "Big Band" concert at 9am and the parade at 10:30am around the streets of the downtown square.
Have lunch on the square and shop the exhibitor and food vendors. Mock gunfights, entertainment on two stages and the annual Tiny Tot Review will keep visitors to Perry's Cherokee Strip Celebration entertained. Bring the kids to the celebration's carnival at the YMCA parking lot. Drawing people from all over the surrounding area and beyond, the Cherokee Strip Celebration is a major event that will have you and your family jumping from one exciting activity to the next.
