Located in historic Woodward Park, the Tulsa Garden Center & Teaching Garden is dedicated to bringing horticultural and environmental education to the community, maintaining a horticulture library for the public, and to supporting, preserving and enhancing the beautiful historic mansion in which it is housed. The Teaching Garden at Woodward Park welcomes visitors in to view demonstrations by well-trained volunteers who share their knowledge and love of gardening with the public.

The Teaching Garden is free and open to the public. The garden areas demonstrate the latest and most successful techniques for growing vegetables, annuals, perennials, woody plants and ground cover. Other features within the park include a Victorian-style conservatory, a three-acre arboretum, a statuary, fountains and pools. The crown jewel of the Tulsa Garden Center is the world-renowned Rose Garden. The first roses were planted in 1935 and have since spread to encompass the full scope of the sloping, 4.5-acre garden.
