Within two years after the discovery of oil in 1912, nine refineries had established booming businesses in Cushing. Now, the Cushing Chamber of Commerce & Industry revitalizes the economy of the town and makes it an inviting place for everyone. Their heritage and connection to oil is celebrated each June at the Bar-B-Q 'n Blues Festival. Cushing has much more to offer as well ranging from skydiving to museums and even a country club.
