Veterans Memorial Park
Veterans Memorial Park in Moore boasts a touching tribute to veterans at the park's wall of honor. Near the west entrance to the park is a 15-ft black, granite obelisk with this inscription: "May this hallowed ground honor the sacrifice of America’s finest veterans, civilians, and their families- past, present, and future. We will never forget." Five large, granite tablets pay tribute to each branch of service, and a 30-ft pole flying the American flag raises about it all.
The 18-acre city park also offers a pavilion, on-site restrooms, a .89 mile walking trail and a military-themed playground.
