Visit the Checotah Katy Depot Center Museum to experience a restored 1890 wooden MKT depot. Step inside, and see a range of local artifacts and railroad memorabilia before touring the 1863 Civil War Honey Springs battle exhibits and steer wrestling exhibits. Checotah Katy Depot Center Museum guests can also view a WWII Naval hero, Paul Carr monument, miniature model FFG-52, 14 Flags display and MKT Caboose #205. This National Register of Historic Places attraction also features clean restrooms, and entertainment and refreshments can be accommodated for tour groups with advance notice.
