Old Settlers Day & Parade

The annual Old Settlers Day & Parade in Checotah is an old-fashioned, family-friendly event that celebrates the area's heritage. Start the day with a pancake breakfast and then stroll the arts and crafts vendors looking for unique finds. Kids will enjoy games like turtle races, frog jump contests, balloon tosses and fish scrambles as well as the water slides and bounce houses. Grab some lunch at one of the many food vendors and be sure to catch the parade at 3pm. Don’t leave too soon — stay for a rodeo at 7pm followed by a street dance.
