Alva Mural Society commissioned local artists to create this pentagonal “Castle on the Hill” mural in memory of the castle that burned in 1935. Warren Little, Rod Dunkin and Jim Richey painted the Northwestern Oklahoma State University building in Alva, which was modeled after the Alva castle designed by John Foucard in 1898.
