Will Rogers Highway: Route 66 Exhibit

The Will Rogers Museum will open a dynamic new exhibit on Route 66 that immerses visitors in the legendary highway's unique history. The exhibit will explore the various dedications of the highway in memory of Will Rogers from the 1930s to 1950s and discusses the Will Rogers Highway in pop culture, from his cameo in "Grapes of Wrath" to folk music by Woody Guthrie. The exhibit will also feature the history of how Route 66 was lifeline for Oklahomans during the Dust Bowl and Great Depression. Don't miss this fascinating exhibit which will be open between February 2026 and February 2027.
