Fox Meadow Campground is a 120-acre preservation area designed for experienced hikers and campers seeking a truly primitive outdoor experience in the foothills of the Ozarks. Accessible only on foot, the park allows hike-in camping and day-use hiking. Visitors will encounter rugged, uneven terrain and rocky slopes.

Backpack camping is allowed with approved permits ensuring minimal impact on the environment and a quiet, undisturbed setting. There are no restrooms, no electricity, no running water or facilities, so visitors must be prepared for primitive conditions. Individuals choosing to camp in this location should be prepared for backcountry conditions and are expected to follow Leave No Trace principles to preserve the native flora and fauna.

Permits can be obtained for a designated campsite through the Natural Falls Park Office. Advance notice is required. Each site allows for one tent and one child’s pop-up tent; additional tents may be added for an added fee. Each site is marked and comes with a fire ring. Fox Meadow is detached from the main Natural Falls Park, offering a more rugged and remote escape for those seeking solitude and a deeper connection with nature.

Day-use hiking is allowed with the purchase of a parking pass. This is available through the pay-to-park sign in the parking lot or by paying in the Park Office during hours of operation- 8:30am to 5pm daily. Hiking trails of various lengths and intensities are marked throughout the area offering an experience for all hikers. Pets are allowed but must always remain on leash and animal waste must be picked up after.
