Gathering Place is a world-class riverfront park in Tulsa, Oklahoma, designed to welcome everyone into a vibrant, inclusive community space that inspires, educates, and excites visitors of all ages. Spanning 66.5 acres along the Arkansas River, the park was named USA TODAY’s Best City Park of 2024 and recognized by National Geographic as one of the Top 100 Unexpected Travel Destinations.
This dynamic green space offers endless opportunities to play, learn, explore, and connect—all at no cost—making it a true destination for Tulsans and visitors from around the world. From a five-acre adventure playground and sports courts to a BMX pump track, meadows, and gardens, the park invites boundless outdoor exploration.
At the heart of Gathering Place are two iconic buildings designed for discovery: Williams Lodge, a warm and welcoming space to relax and unwind, and the ONEOK Boathouse, a cultural hub featuring permanent and rotating exhibits, as well as a variety of weekly programs.
The park’s landscape is as impressive as its amenities. With 1.2 million plants representing 400 species, more than 6,000 trees, and 16 acres of native prairie, Gathering Place offers a lush, immersive environment. All of Oklahoma’s ecological regions—from prairies and wetlands to woodlands—are thoughtfully represented, creating an experience that’s as educational as it is breathtaking.
