Located across from the Oklahoma State Capitol, the Oklahoma History Center is an exploration of Oklahoma—past to present. Within the 215,000-square-foot learning center are five galleries sharing the stories of Oklahoma and a Research Center.

The outdoor Red River Journey offers visitors a walking tour of the Red River Valley featuring landforms, vegetation, and historical locations. Outdoor exhibits include an oilfield, 14 Flags Over Oklahoma, and "Tip of the Spear," featuring a Huey helicopter.

The Oklahoma History Center Museum is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society offering the highest standards of collections care, dynamic exhibits, and multi-disciplinary educational programs. The museum is also a Smithsonian Affiliate.
