The Tall Chief Theater in Fairfax is a living piece of Oklahoma history. Built in 1928, the theater housed a spacious stage for live theater and dance performances as well as a large screen for movies. The theater served as a vital source of entertainment and hope for the Osage people, who at the time, were the targets of a series of murders known as the "reign of terror" for their oil money that is depicted in the best-selling book "Killers of the Flower Moon." You can donate to the efforts to immortalize this historic theater and preserve its legacy.
