The annual Poteau BalloonFest will bring two days of family fun, entertainment and unforgettable sights to Oklahoma this October. Celebrating 20 years, this epic event will feature hot air balloons, carnival rides, helicopter rides, food trucks, craft and merchandise vendors, live entertainment, games, and so much more.
Tethered balloon rides will give visitors the opportunity to experience the excitement of a hot air balloon while remaining safely secured to the ground. Plus, pilots will be available to visit with guests, answer questions, share information about their balloons, and give visitors a closer look at the baskets and burners that make flight possible. As the sun goes down, BalloonFest really begins to glow: Weather permitting, hot air balloons will light up the festival grounds during the evening balloon glow, with pilots illuminating their balloons through coordinated burns, flickers, and waves. Bring the whole family, settle in with your lawn chairs, and enjoy a weekend filled with sights, sounds, and memories.
Note: All hot air balloon activities are weather permitting. Balloon pilots carefully monitor weather conditions throughout the event, and balloon activity may be delayed, changed, or canceled for safety. Announcements and updates regarding balloon activities will be made throughout the festival.
