Oklahoma Historical Society Research Center
Located in the Oklahoma History Center, the Research Center is open to the public, and there is no charge to use the facilities. Visitors will find countless resources for genealogy research. Records include the 1890 Oklahoma Territorial Census Index, the Dawes Final Rolls of the Five Tribes, and US Census records. The center is also home to a newspaper archive with over 4,000 Oklahoma newspaper titles and more than 30,000 rolls of microfilm. This is the oldest, largest and most complete collection of newspapers in the state.
Learn about Oklahoma's homesteaders in the Federal Land Tract books, and explore plat maps and atlases. State city directories, phone books, yearbooks, and annuals are available, and the archives preserve historic maps, manuscripts, oral histories, over 12 million photographs, and American Indian records.
Visitors to the OHS Research Center can access subscription websites including AncestryLibrary, Heritage Quest, and Fold3.
