This summer, make your way to Checotah for "The Muscogee (Creek) Nation & the Civil War" program. Oklahoma History Society Board Member T.S. Akers will give a presentation at the event which will be hosted at the Honey Springs Battle Field Visitor Center. Akers is a tribal citizen of the Muscogee Nation who serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Honey Springs Battlefield. Come listen to Akers as he demonstrates his knowledge stemming from years of research at this educational event in Checotah this September.
