First installed in the 1930s, this massive neon sign advertising Meadow Gold Dairy has become a Route 66 icon. When the building it rested on was set to be demolished, the community worked to save and restore the sign. Today, it stands a mile west of its original location atop a pavilion built just for it. Check out the plaques on the pavilion to learn more about the sign’s history.
