In 2004, Dr. Bob Palmer and his mural-painting students from the University of Central Oklahoma took to Main Street in Edmond to put their newly refined skills into practice. Palmer Studios Inc. transformed one wall of W&W Tire into “Mainstreet Edmond,” a mural celebrating Edmond’s history as a Route 66 town.
