Tribes 131 Art Gallery is one of Oklahoma's premier art galleries featuring a stable of the state’s most seasoned American Indian and noted artists as well as a vast variety of works by Pueblo artists. Tribes’ advisory service specializes in brokering, appraising and authenticating American Indian and Southwest Art. Located in Norman, Tribes 131 is a one-stop gallery for works by well-known artisans. Tribes features everything from historical artwork to abstract pieces, including a variety of non-native and gift items. This Norman gallery offers a full line of Indian handcrafted jewelry, pottery, baskets, kachinas, textiles, prints, bronzes, clay and alabaster sculptures, masks, beadwork and a large variety of made in Oklahoma gift items.

Don't forget the jewelry.  The gallery offers a vast inventory of handcrafted and designed Indian jewelry from contemporary to traditional with a large selection of squash blossom necklaces, as well as Santa Domingo, Zuni, Navajo, Cherokee and other tribes featured.  

With over 30 years in Norman, Tribes hosts many favorite annual events. Tribes 131 is also the producer of the Native American Art Calendar, which is found in museums and gift stores across the nation. The annual calendar signing and show is generally held the first weekend of December each year and is a favorite of both local and out of state clients, as it is shipped out  to over 2,000 customers throughout the nation. Another favorite event hosted at Tribes is the  Annual Love of Ledger Art Show and Sale. This event features works by some ot the most noted ledger artists in the country and is held the Sunday before Valentine's Day each year.

There is always something exciting going on in the gallery, whether a current show is underway or the arrival of new and historical works are coming in. Tribes is literally a visual feast for everyone who enters.  

The gallery owner also does local and out of state appraisals. Please contact the gallery ahead of time to confirm that Leslie will be available. Customers come first and she is more than happy to work the appraisals and appointments around customers and visitors.
