Science Museum Oklahoma
Science Museum Oklahoma, the state's premier destination for family fun, houses over eight acres of hands-on science experiences with thousands of space, aviation and cultural artifacts in the mix. This interactive museum offers brand new exhibits, the excitement of live entertainment shows and a renovated Science Floor.
As the state's only physical science museum and a Smithsonian Affiliate, Science Museum Oklahoma reveals the wonder and relevance of science in our everyday lives. From traveling beyond the Milky Way in the Planetarium Theater to witnessing live explosions in Science Live, the museum provides a safe environment for letting your inner-child run wild.
The main exhibit gallery features more than 100 exhibits spread over 9,600 square feet. Visitors can get hands-on with exhibits that demonstrate the basic principles of physics and how these principles are used in our everyday lives. The main gallery also features a Segway Course, the first of its kind at a museum, where visitors of all ages can take a spin.
Families and children will love Science Museum Oklahoma’s CurioCity exhibit. CurioCity covers 20,000 square feet of museum space and is set up like a miniature town and features eight whimsical villages that enhance different sets of skills relating to science and math. BrainiAct is a kid-sized theater, Pi Shop teaches geometry, Tinker Works gives children a chance to explore mechanics and engineering and Spark Park is all about physics. Music, health and a space for physical play are also included in additional areas.
