Paseo Arts District
Paseo Arts District
Built in 1929 as the first shopping district north of downtown, the Paseo Arts District is the oldest arts district community in Oklahoma City. This distinctive two-block long street has the feel of a Spanish village with its stucco buildings and clay tile roofs.
Home to 20 galleries and over 60 artists, a vibrant group of artists continues to build the Paseo into one of the most creative art venues in the area. Intermingled with the galleries along tree-lined streets are fabulous restaurants, shopping boutiques, studios and more.
Visit during the monthly First Friday Gallery Walk, where visitors can enjoy art openings, wine tastings and live music. On Saturdays, guests can see artists at work giving live demonstrations.
The annual Paseo Arts Festival is held during Memorial Day weekend, showcasing jury-selected, original works by visual artists, along with performance art and live music.
