This February, make your way to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center to see an unforgettable performance of "Nat Turner in Jerusalem." The play is based on the story of Nat Turner, who led a slave uprising in August 1831. Turner's account was published by attorney Thomas R. Gray. In this play written by Nathan Alan Davis, Turner is spending his final night in a jail cell in Jerusalem, Virginia as he is revisited by Gray and they reckon with what has passed and what the future will bring.
