The Charlie Christian International Music Festival is a fun-filled, multi-day event that celebrates the musical contributions of world-renowned jazz guitar legend Charlie Christian, who grew up in Oklahoma City. This festival features jazz, blues, contemporary, Western and old-school gospel music.
Seasoned jazz musician Wayne Goins headlines this year's festival, along with Chip Henderson and Jeffrey Smith & Band. The fun kicks off on Thursday evening with a Charlie Christian Jam Session at the Oklahoma History Center. On Friday, hear music greats during a battle of the bands event. The festival closes on Saturday evening with a variety of jazz music at the Montellano Event Center.
