Bristow Historical Museum & Train Depot
Travel back to the 1890s, when Bristow originated near a railroad track between Sapulpa and Oklahoma City. At the restored Bristow Historical Depot and Town Square, you will feel like you've stepped back in time as you step on the original wood floors from 1923 and see the ticket counters, desks, equipment and railroad items. The Bristow Depot and water tower are the only Frisco Train Depot/tower combo from the original line still standing, and today it is home to a community museum with information about early Oklahoma history, Route 66 history, and rail history.
Knowledgeable museum volunteers are on-site at the depot to answer any questions about the history of the area or the railroad depot. While you're here, be sure to climb aboard the Frisco Train caboose then go two blocks to 9th and Main and see the tallest neon sign on Route 66 at the Chrysler Tower Plaza.
