Bristow Historical Museum & Train Depot
Bristow Historical Museum & Train Depot
Travel back to the 1890s, when Bristow originated near a railroad track between Sapulpa and Oklahoma City. At the restored Bristow Historical Depot and Town Square, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time as you step on the original wood floors from 1923 and see the ticket counters, desks, equipment and railroad items. Get a feel for this historic Route 66 town at this fascinating museum.
Spend time with the Bristow Area Chamber of Commerce, housed in the one-story brick building originally constructed in 1923. Learn about notable people with ties to Bristow, like Gene Autry, who once served as a telegrapher in this exact historical depot, formerly known as the Frisco Train Depot. Let the kids climb aboard the Frisco Train caboose and then have a picnic at Depot Plaza. This iconic Bristow attraction is not to be missed.
