McGee Creek Reservoir
McGee Creek Reservoir is located in one of the state's most scenic areas. Covered with dense forest, the park offers 2,600 acres with a 3,350 acre lake. The area provides numerous water-oriented recreation opportunities, including swimming, sailboarding, water skiing, boating and fishing in the lower reservoir area. The upper and forested areas provide scenic enjoyment and good hunting. Bugaboo Canyon Natural Scenic Area, covering 8,900 acres, lies to the northeast, providing hunting, fishing and nature studies. A 10,000 acre wildlife management area lies north of the reservoir. Equestrian enthusiasts may bring their horses and enjoy miles of multi-use trails. Campgrounds are open year round. Permits are required for boating, hunting and fishing.
