Enjoy three days of competitive pickleball at the Space City Paddle Battle on the outdoor courts of Rader Park in Weatherford this May. Celebrating 100 years of Route 66, this event features excitement for spectators and players alike with men’s and women’s opens, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles. While visiting Weatherford, be sure to check out two out-of-this-world attractions that earn Weatherford the nickname “Space City”: The Stafford Air & Space Museum, which honors Weatherford native and legendary astronaut Lt. General Thomas P. Stafford, and the Rt. 66 Spaceman, 30-foot astronaut statue standing proudly on the Mother Road.
