The Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for leisure visitors and business travelers, and for groups and businesses looking for conference assistance, as well as to gather information on local businesses, institutions and organizations in Cherokee County. Tahlequah is home to two Native American tribes, Northeastern State University, the Illinois River and Lake Tenkiller. The Chamber of Commerce is proactive in recruiting business to the city's industrial park. The North End Entertainment District has become a destination for visitors.
