Start the New Year out right at Tenkiller State Park with a First Day Hike in Vian. Meet at the Driftwood Nature Center for an easy, two-mile hike on the Lakeview Trail. Bring your leashed pets, layered clothing, closed-toed shoes, binoculars, camera and water. After the hike, gather around a campfire and enjoy a cup of cocoa provided by park staff.
The event is held in conjunction with the America's State Parks First Day Hikes initiative that will take place in all 50 states. First Day Hikes encourage individuals and families to start the year off on the right foot with a trek through a state park.
