Travel the 70-mile long Osage Nation Heritage Trail in northern Oklahoma and experience some of the state's most unique and beautiful landscapes. The surrounding area includes habitats for wild horses and buffalo, hills that held gangster hideouts in the 1920s and '30s and the estates of Oklahoma's historic oil barons such as Frank Phillips, E. W. Marland, Harry Sinclair and Jean Paul Getty.
The Osage Nation Heritage Trail is identified as beginning in Ponca City and proceeding east along Hwy 60 through Pawhuska to Bartlesville. The byway travels through the beautiful Osage Hills past historic landmarks, charming small towns and natural attractions, such as the renowned Tallgrass Prairie Preserve.
