Southwest Playhouse in Clinton will present “Little Shop of Horrors,” a horror-comedy musical with a score featuring early 1960s rock ’n’ roll, doo-wop and Motown. The story follows a hapless florist who raises a plant that feeds on people and is bent on world domination.
First appearing off-Broadway in 1982, playwright Howard Ashman's musical was later adapted into a 1986 cult film directed by Frank Oz and featuring comedic icons like Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, Jim Belushi, John Candy and Bill Murray.
