Join the Osage Hills State Park staff for a first day hike. Meet at the ball field for a moderate, two-mile hike on the Woodland Trail. Bring your leashed pets, camera, binoculars, water, hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Hot chocolate will be provided after the hike along a warm fire provided by park staff. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and/or hot dogs to cook over the fire.
The event is held in conjunction with the America's State Parks First Day Hikes initiative that will take place in all 50 states. First Day Hikes encourage individuals and families to start the year off on the right foot with a trek through a state park.
