Head to one of Oklahoma's state parks to celebrate Earth Day, an annual event held in support of environmental protection, this April. Four participating parks, including Foss State Park, Lake Texoma State Park, Lake Wister State Park and Osage Hills State Park will host an afternoon of eco-friendly activities in celebration of the environmental holiday. Join in a park clean-up, craft a seed bomb or learn how you can be more eco-conscious during a talk given by park staff. After the celebration, stick around to enjoy all that Oklahoma State Parks have to offer.
As part of the Earth Day Celebration, children under the age of 18 are invited to participate in the Earth Day Art Contest. The contest encourages young artists to craft unique artwork using recycled materials that will then be on display during the celebration.
Earth Day Art Contest requirements:
- Art must be submitted to one of the four participating parks by 5pm on Wednesday, April 23rd.
- Participants must be under 18 to enter.
- Art may not exceed the dimensions 8.5in x 11in.

- Each park will announce a winner during their Earth Day Celebration on 4/26
