Learn about the history of Quartz Mountain State Park during this exciting and educational session this June. The session will cover two distinct subjects, starting with the Civilian Conservation Corps a program established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the wake of the Great Depression. The CCC gave men the opportunity to work in national and state parks across the nation. Visitors will also learn about the W.C. Austin Dam, its history, and the important function it serves in the park's ecosystem. Meet at Shelter Two and enjoy this informative learning opportunity at Quartz Mountain State Park this June.
