Attend the Centennial Commemoration Ceremony of Oklahoma's State Flag at the Oklahoma History Center in April. Speakers will make presentations on the history of Oklahoma's State Flag, which was first adopted on April 2, 1925. Artist Louise Funk Fluke created the design for a statewide contest held by the Oklahoma Daughters of the American Revolution. Learn about the significance of the symbolism on the flag, such as the Osage shield, colors, crosses, and feathers at this commemorative event in April.
