Take a seat along the trails and at the foot of the falls to bask in nature's wonder.

Flowering dogwood, sassafras, coral berry, spicebush, redbed and pawpaw blanket shower the forest floor with pops of color throughout the seasons.

The beautiful scenery looks familiar to many visitors because scenes from the 1974 movie, "Where the Red Fern Grows" were filmed in the park.

Although swimming is not allowed in the park, there are several public swimming areas available within a short distance.

In addition to catch and release fishing, a formal garden area and the Red Fern Reunion Center, the park boasts an incredible eighteen-hole disc golf course.

Played like traditional golf, but with various golf discs instead of balls and clubs, it is sometimes referred to as Frisbee golf.

The course winds its way through wooded areas and grassy clearings.

The course provides plenty of challenges with long holes in open spaces and naturally-occurring hazards.

For more outdoor sporting, the park offers volleyball, horseshoes and basketball courts.

You'll find traditional RV and tent camping at the park, but if you want to camp in style, try staying in one of the park's yurts.

Sleep peacefully and relax with convenient amenities including ac/heat, ceiling fan, electrical outlets, a k-cup coffee maker and coffee cups.

Each yurt sleeps between four and six people and comes with a table, microwave and small fridge.

Make your trip even better with an overnight stay in one of the park's five yurts, which can be reserved online.

Outside, each yurt offers a picnic table, grill, fire pit and lantern hanger.

Prepare a perfect camp meal on the charcoal barbecue grill, then gather around the fire ring for s'mores.

Enjoy your yurt stay at the park without worrying about your four-legged friends; with an additional fee they’ll be able to join you, and they are allowed on the trails.
