McClanahan Park Grand Opening
Jul 4, 2026
Join the City of Chandler as it celebrates the grand opening of McClanahan Park this Fourth of July. Partially funded by a Route 66 Revitalization grant from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the park is named in honor of Jerry McClanahan, Chandler resident and Route 66 author, artist, historian, and Oklahoma Route 66 Hall of Fame inductee. The grand opening of the park will feature guest speakers, a ribbon cutting and a free concert by local band RedLand. Visitors will also get to see the park’s 30-foot-tall statue of the 66 Man, a superhero character created by McClanahan. Be sure to stay in Chandler and head to Bell Cow Lake for fireworks at night.
