Saddle up for a Western adventure with horseback riding and more at Robbers Cave Stables. Take a one-hour guided tour on horseback and explore the trails in scenic Robbers Cave State Park near Wilburton, where the Sans Bois Mountains provide beautiful scenery and watchable wildlife opportunities abound. Or, check out Robbers Cave, famed hideout of outlaws like Jesse James and Belle Star, on a two-hour guided tour. Guests will ride to the cave on horseback, spend some time exploring and learning about the area, then ride back.
Kids can also enjoy a 15 minute u-lead pony ride. Perfect for family reunions or retreats, Robbers Cave Stables also offers cowboy cookouts around a campfire, complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, cowboy beans, chips, coffee, lemonade and iced tea.
For an extended trip, plan a group overnight horseback riding camping trip with Robbers Cave Stables. Take a three-hour ride along the Outlaw Trail and end up at the camping area near a beautiful waterfall. Overnight trips include dinner cooked over a fire, music around the campfire and breakfast the next morning. Advanced notification is required and groups must be four people or more.
