Oklahoma Derby Day 2025 takes place on Sunday, September 28 — the only Sunday afternoon of the racing season. Live racing and festive activities begin at 3 p.m. Central. The Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby headlines a program filled with eight stakes races. The undercard is highlighted by the Remington Park Oaks and the David M. Vance Stakes. The full Derby Day card features more than $1 million in total purses. Guests can participate in the annual Oklahoma Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest, offering exciting prizes. The free contest will be held on Track Level–North from 3-5pm, and every participant will receive a commemorative photo. Also starting at 3pm is the Derby Day Wine Tasting Festival, located on Track Level–North. Guests aged 21 and older can enjoy samples from some of Oklahoma’s finest wineries. Proceeds from the wine tasting festival will benefit Remington Park Charities. The festival continues until 7pm. The Oklahoma Derby is a premier Breeders’ Cup prep race for many of the nation's top 3-year-olds. The day also includes a variety of divisional stakes races, providing additional opportunities for horses preparing for the Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar in Southern California this year.
