USS Tulsa Exhibit
Aired On: 2016-07-30There’s a tradition of naming ships for the US Navy after states, cities and prominent people. Currently, there’s a brand new vessel under construction which will carry the name of U-S-S Tulsa. But this isn’t the first time, the city has been represented at sea. You can check out a very large model of the vessel that spent time in different parts of the world in both World Wars. It’s on display at the Tulsa Historical Society.
